I didn't even think of Kate Bishop until people starting squeeing about it, but I feel like it probably is? I didn't think any of his kids would have been old enough to be that girl.

I guess it's been a couple years since AoU, but I forget how old his kids are in there (and am not super interested in watching AoU again to find out). It's also totally possible that they'd make Clint's daughter into the Kate Bishop-ish character - which wouldn't be me preference, but still a lot better than no Kate Bishop at all.

Peggy's VO OVER HER COFFIN was the thing that got me kind of mad.

Yeah, ditto, altho it's in the comics apparently (there's so little of Peggy in the comics tho from what I can see).

Some people are taking "go back and start over" as evidence Steve will go back to the past and live happily with Peggy. I think Steve's being set up as a tragic figure, so that's a long shot, but who knows.

The only Peggy adjacent comics I've seen were well prior MCU. Where Peggy was so secret agent Steve couldn't find record of her existence when he was came from his salt water bath by submarine. You know, just before when Sharon was Peggy's sister.

Yeah, IIRC in the comics Peggy is hung up on Steve (with several whack plotlines and amnesia), is rescued by Steve, renounces Steve, we're told she's married to Gabe, and we see her funeral at one point (don't remember exactly when). And Peggy the AMERICAN who went off to fight with the French resistance, the 'original' Agent 13, is very different from the beloved MCU British punchy Peggy. MCU Peggy shows up only in a few limp tie-ins and the terrible Operation: S.I.N., which I know is terrible because I bought it, like a sucker. (Why didn't they continue Agent Carter with a comic series of her own, like Joss Whedon did virtual seasons of Buffy! SIGH.)

That's Natasha -- she has several hairstyles in this trailer, the platinum chop (ugh), platinum with kind of red streaks, and red with a sort of ombre effect at the ends. I joked immediately that her hair colour was going to be a clue to different timelines in the film, like in Eternal Sunshine, but....this might be true? IDK. It's interesting:

Apparently the word on the (internet) street is that all of the scenes from the trailer are from the first 20 minutes, so maybe they'll make time for jokes in the second act? I'm not holding out for a happy third act, considering.

If the jokes are maybe on par with the haha-funny clip of Thor shooting his axehammer past Carol's head, I am not optimistic. I do hope we get more Thor and Rocket, that was one of the few things I liked about IW.

I do tend to think that's disinformation. The IW trailer had Tony right after Peter dissolves in his arms! Nobody knew what it was, but that was not the first 20 minutes. Heck, the first shot in the trailer is of the planet where that happens, I think (and everyone thought it was Xandar, because "of course" we'd see Thanos devastating the Nova corps). That also showed Thor battling the supernova, "get this man a shield," Thanos knocking out Tony, the big charge in Wakanda, &c &c.

OF COURSE, it also showed the SUPER FAKE composite shot of Steve with Bucky, Sam, Nat, Okoye, T'Challa, AND THE HULK with Rhodey and Sam up above running slo-mo through TREES, so Marvel obviously loves fucking with us. XD

I guess this means that Nebula and Tony do make it back to Earth? They're both shown with the other surviving Avengers in that shot of them all wearing those weird plastic suits. (Space suits?)

There's a LOT of emphasis on Tony/Pepper. I have a sinking feeling that Tony makes it back to Earth only to find that Pepper has been snaptured. UGH, Pepper is too awesome to fridge!

If it was me, I'd say he shaved his head with hair clippers and no mirror, though in some places the sides are shorter, so maybe it's not been as much time elapsed and he did use a mirror and some of the guards. (Yes, I used to give crew cuts. I also build kit furniture.)

Tony does say at the end of IM3, "I got Pepper fixed up, as promised." That could mean that he got Extremis out of her completely, or it could mean that he found a way to stabilize it so she wouldn't explode. So there is a chance for Extremis!Pepper!

Idk, I found this trailer kind of bland... I'm not more excited about this movie than I was before, and I was already lukewarm about it. The beginning with Tony talking to Pepper was well done, but of course he's going to survive and make it back (isn't that him in the trailer at ~1:57?), and the other flashbacks weren't nearly as effective. Then there's a lot of bad haircuts and faces with meaningless catch phrases, and then a scene with Carol in uncharacteristic makeup getting Thor's approval that just kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

(Also, seeing Thor with an ax is just weird. He should have a hammer! And it's not like his enemies are less dead if he kills them with a hammer than with an ax, but slashing wounds look more violent so I'm looking forward to the fight scenes less (which is stupid, Valkyrie fights with a sword and that didn't look much more gruesome either.))

I have to be honest, the CM mid-credits scene did a lot more to get me excited about this movie than the actual trailer did. And gosh I hate just about ALL the styling and fashion choices in this trailer except for Nat's braid with her roots grown out.

Yeah, your feelings are my feelings. That felt like a weird OOC moment for Thor, and like a 180 degree reversal on Carol. I was hoping for her to catch the axhammerwhatever and calmly hand it to him.
